PS Charities Staff

Michael W. Chandler
Executive Director

The aim of philanthropy is to improve quality of life through private and charitable giving. Michael first experienced this when his grandparents adopted him at ten years old.

That significant act of voluntary kindness from his grandparents gave Michael the chance to overcome his circumstances. The impact of their benevolence shaped his personal and professional ambitions where helping others improve their quality of life matters most.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University in Information Technology. Michael's career spans entrepreneurial ventures, and experience in several industries in many countries holding technical and leadership positions, including leadership positions in Government & Defense and Biotechnology, producing drugs to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions.

Michael is excited to lead PS Charities in our mission to support America's military and their families, and those affected by cancer. More than once he has been the recipient of kindness that changed and improved his life. With the support of our giving community his goal is to help others in the same way. It has made all the difference.

You can contact Michael at 760.282.4521 or mwc@pscharities.org

Jackie Albright
Event Coordinator

Jackie started with PS Charities as a volunteer, volunteering for several events since 2009. She believes in the mission so much that she decided to come on board as the event coordinator.

Jackie has a B.A. in Corporate Communications and Spanish from James Madison University where she started volunteering, helping anywhere she could. Jackie started volunteering for Relay for Life, and in the local school district as a tutor.

Jackie’s father passed away from a rare form of brain cancer in 2007. As a result she is determined to help people who have been affected by cancer. PS Charities gives Jackie the opportunity to not help those affected by cancer, and also get back to her roots in volunteering, by helping people in need.

Michelle Ellia
Graphic Designer

While she may be new to the DC Metro area, Michelle is no stranger to the non-profit world. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Mercyhurst College and has enjoyed her career at a variety of organizations including: a children’s museum, a theater and a zoo, to name a few.

Prior to joining the PS Charities team, she served as the Marketing Director of the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center in Erie, Pa. There she was in charge of all things creative, some of which included: designing print advertising, producing television commercials and creating web media. She also played a role in developing relationships with media outlets, as well as forming strategic partnerships with other area non-profits.

When she is not behind her desk working (or strolling around the monuments), Michelle is an avid volunteer, donating her graphic design skills to a variety of charitable causes. Most recently she designed the promotional materials for the POPS (Pink Out Penn State) Initiative in Columbus, Oh. The group’s flagship event helped raised more than $5K for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Natalie Teisler
Development Assistant

Natalie comes to PS Charities as the Development Assistant.  As a full-time student, working on a B.A. in Political Science, she works part-time during the school year and devotes her summers to PSC.  She is dedicated to the continued development of PS Charities and is excited to be working alongside such an amazing group of people.

Natalie has multiple family members that have served in the Marine Corps, including her brother, Elliot, who is honored in the Douglas A. Zembiec Memorial Golf Tournament with a scholarship named in his memory. As a result, she has a personal passion and drive to help military families.

She also shares an appreciation for those who have had family members battling cancer. After seeing the strength and courage from not only her Aunt, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, she also witnessed firsthand how important the constant support from her family was to her Aunt during that crucial time.

Natalie wants to pass on that same support and encouragement to others that are going through similar tragedies. With PS Charities she is able to share her compassion and commitment to helping others.
